RNDr. Markéta Šerešová, Ph.D.

Markéta is professionally involved in the field of environmental sciences. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities Environmental Science at Masaryk University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Protection at Charles University, where she also underwent a rigorous procedure resulting in the degree of RNDr. Markéta completed her education by obtaining a PhD in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague in 2023. During her PhD studies, she specialized in the analysis of environmental impacts of electricity and heat production in the Czech Republic from a life cycle perspective. Markéta also gained international experience during her year-long study stay at the Universidad de Granada in Spain and a three-month internship at the Fraunhofer Institute at the Universität Stuttgart in Germany, where she focused on material flow analysis and work with the advanced software GaBi.

Since 2016, she has been a member in the LCA studio where she contributes to LCA studies and EPD certificates, which mainly includes projects for manufacturing companies and building products. Her work in these projects helps companies reduce their environmental footprint and improve the sustainability of their products. At the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Markéta supervises bachelor and master theses with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability. She is also active in some research projects at the Institute of Sustainability and Product Ecology.

Markéta is fluent in English, communicative in Spanish and has a basic knowledge of German. She is currently on parental leave, where she is gaining new perspectives to apply in her professional practice.
